Foliated border. Crosshatched background.

Koechlin 1924: France (?), 19th century (?).
Gaborit-Chopin 2003 and Museum's opinion 2010: France?, late 15th century.


Curved. Modern handle.

Object Condition
Chip at the bottom, where the handle joins the pax (modern handle).

According to Vivet 1993, the iconography derived from an engraving by Master E. S. active in Germany before 1467.
