Register 1: male dancers; female dancer.
Register 2: male dancer; musician with drum and whistle; jester holding a bauble.
Body, front
Hunter with a spear; hunter with a bow; trees.
End, right
Hunter with bow and arrow; dogs pursuing a stag; arrow in the stag's chest; man blowing a horn.
Body, back

End, left
Gathering of pears (?); man holding a club to beat the tree and make the fruits fall; female figure collecting the fruits in her skirt; lady wearing a hennin, playing the harp; man playing a flute.
Bottom: chequered pattern.
Foliated border; flowers; crosshatched background.

Museum's opinion 2011: France (Alsace?) or Germany (Upper Rhineland), c. 1440-1470.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold, green (trees; foliage).

Reverse
Carved on all sides.

Object Condition
Missing: lock; several panels on the front and on the right side have been replaced with blank pieces of ivory or bone.

Provenance
Collection of Mario de Ciccio (d. 1957): given to the Museum in 1957.
