Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; sun and moon; rugged cross.
Pointed trefoils; incised trefoils.

Gatty 1883: French, 14th century.

Object Condition
Vertical crack to the right of saint John the Evangelist.

Provenance
Joseph Mayer collection: given by Joseph Mayer to the town of Liverpool in 1867; lost in May 1941 when the Museum was hit by an incendiary bomb.
