Flat and relatively smooth, apart from an uneven portion two thirds of the way up.

Object Condition
Hole on the chest and on either side at the same level.

Comments
This piece must have been part of a larger ensemble depicting the Crucifixion and integrated into a framework of wood or ivory (Giusti 1999).

Acquired on the art market, Genoa.
