Annunciation; angel crowned with a wreath of flowers and holding a sceptre; dove of the Holy Spirit; hanging curtain; open book.

Not visible due to wooden mount.

Object Condition
The ivory is broken in several pieces which is probably the reason why it has been glued onto a wooden panel.

Comments
According to R. Randall, this plaque is mounted on German pine. The panel is made of three pieces.

Provenance
Collection of Paul R. G. Horst, Paris: Christie's, London, 28 November 1961, lot 72. Bought in 1967 thanks to the Adolph D. and Wilkins C. Williams Fund.
