Register 1: Annunciation.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi.
Centre panel
Standing Virgin and Child; Virgin holding a flower in her right hand; Christ in long robe; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand; Christ seated on the Virgin's left arm; blessing gesture; angel crowning the Virgin.
Wing, right
Register 1: Nativity.
Register 2: Presentation in the Temple.


Koechlin Number: 0128

Koechlin 1924: France, beginning of the 2nd third of the 14th century.
Merati 1963: French, end of the 14th - beginning of the 15th century.
Conti 1966: French, mid 14th century.
Museum's opinion 2014: French school, mid 14th century.

Unknown

Hinges
Originally, two ring hinges on either side. The panels are now held by pieces of metal thread.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy (decorated background with dots).

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Centre panel: cracked lower border. One hole in the centre gable.
Edge of the left wing chipped and face of Simeon damaged.

Provenance
Gift of Countess Carolina Durini Trotti (b. 1762, d. 1833), Taverna, in 1825.
