Register 1: saint Peter holding a key and book. In a quatrefoil: Christ in glory; Christ displaying his wounds. Four Symbols of the Evangelists with scrolls in the spandrels: angel of saint Matthew, eagle of saint John the Evangelist; ox of saint Luke and lion of saint Mark. Saint Paul holding a sword and book.
Register 2: unidentified male saint holding a martyr's palm and a book (saint John the Evangelist). Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist. Unidentified male saint holding a cross.
Register 3: unidentified male saint. Seated Virgin and Child (Sedes Sapientiae); Christ seated frontally. Unidentified male saint.
Pierced trefoils in the spandrels; rows of bllind arches.

Koechlin 1924: France, end of the 13th century or beginning of the 14th century.
Kryzhanovskaya 2014: France (?), 3rd quarter of the 13th century (?).

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: green.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Missing: flower (?) once held by the Virgin in the lower register.
Three incisions along the left edge.
Three holes in the upper part of the panel whichcome out at the top and on both sides.

Comments
It has some similarities with the production of the Soissons Atelier (Koechlin 1924).

Provenance
Collection of Mikhail Petrovich Botkin (b. 1839, d. 1914), Saint Petersburg, since 1897; transferred to the Hermitage in 1919.
