Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; two angels holding the sun and the moon.
Pointed trefoil in the gable.

Museum's opinion 2015: France, 14th century.

Traces of two missing hinges on either side.

Reverse
Flat with some scoring.

Object Condition
Broken in three pieces which have been glued back together.

Provenance
Acquired by the museum in 1882 from S. Willson, Strand.
