Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); two angels holding candlesticks.
Wing, right
Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Medallions containing trefoils enclosing protruding cones in the spandrels.

Berliner 1926 and Museum's opinion 2014: France, 2nd quarter of the 14th century.

Traces of polychromy and gilding.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.
Back of the left wing
Blue and white label with inscription: '400'.
Ink inscription 'ad [?] Nr. 1417'.
Back of the right wing
Blue and white labels with inscription: '380'.
Ink inscription 'Nr. 1417'.

Object Condition
Missing: candles held by the angels; part of the left border of the left wing; part of the lower border and of the background of the right wing.
Crack along the left side of the right wing.

Provenance
Acquired in 1858 from the Munich art market.
