Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls. Resurrection; two angels standing on the tomb.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi. Presentation in the Temple; maid holding a candlestick and a basket of doves brought as offerings; Christ standing on the altar between the Virgin and Simeon.
Border of dentils.

Lawrence 1969: Paris, c. 1335-1350.
Randall 1993: French (Paris), 3rd quarter of the 14th century.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Reverse
Flat.

Object Condition
Surface chips in the Adoration of the Magi scene. Trimmed on all sides and bevelled, possibly for framing (Randall 1993).

Provenance
Emile Baboin collection, Lyon (after 1912). Bought from Raphael Stora, New York, in 1951. Part of the Eugene Fuller Memorial Collection.
