Meeting at the Golden Gate (Meeting of Joachim and Anna) combined with Tree of Jesse (?); Virgin and Child (Virgo in sole); crescent moon; portcullis; towers.

Museum's opinion 2010: Netherlands, early 16th century.

Reverse
Carved on both sides.

Object Condition
Broken and repaired (vertical crack visible down the centre of the panel).
Missing: part of the lower edge and parts of the flower stem on side 2 (repaired).

Comments
Groove in the thickness of the panel, all around, suggesting this piece may have had a metal frame.
