Wing, left
Register 1: Nativity (Virgo lactans); angel holding a scroll.
Register 2: Adoration of the Shepherds; shepherd holding bagpipes.
Register 3: Adoration of the Magi with Joseph.
Centre panel
Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; angel holding the sun and the moon.
Register 2: Christ washing the feet of the apostles. Betrayal (Taking of Christ; Kiss of Judas); Judas holding a purse; saint Peter attacking Malchus; sword; soldiers in armour.
Register 3: Christ before Pilate; Pilate washing his hands; soldiers. Mocking of Christ or Flagellation (?); soldiers in armour.
Angels wringing their hands in the spandrels.
Wing, right
Register 1: Resurrection; three soldiers asleep; angel kneeling on the tomb.
Register 2: Deposition with the Virgin holding Christ's hand; Joseph of Arimathea holding Christ's body; man with pincers removing the nail from Christ's feet.
Register 3: Entombment with Holy Women.
Flamboyant tracery; medallions enclosing quatrefoils in the spandrels; pointed trefoils.

Museum's opinion 2014: 19th century.


Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on either side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Ivory strips to consolidate the back of the wings.

Object Condition
Breaks in the left and right wing which certainly prompted the setting of the triptych in a metal frame. Ivory strips were also added to the back of the wings to consolidate them.

Provenance
Collection of Ante Topić Mimara (b. 1898, d. 1987): donated to the museum in 1986; the museum opened to the public in 1987.
