Prophet holding a scroll in the gable.

Saint Anthony abbot standing in flames. Saint Mary Magdalene with ointment pot and martyr's palm.

Adoration of the Shepherds or adoration of the Magi; candles (?); dog.

Saint Simon with a saw. Saint Agatha with pincers. Saint Andrew with saltire cross. Saint Agnes with lamb and martyr's palm.

Traces of gilding and polychromy (modern, see report by A. Cascio and J. Levy, 1999).

Reverse
Engraved on all sides.

Object Condition
Missing: parts of the setting, including 2 from the base.Several of the panels are modern (perhaps including a prophet on the side of the lid, two beasts on the front, Mary Magdalene, Saint Peter).
Base heavily restored.Lock, hinges and handle are modern.Cracks around the lock.
The casket may have been entirely reset, as the style of the lid panels is different from that of the sides.
On base, labelled: 'A. 77'.
