Ivory

Height: 117mm
Width: 63mm
Depth: 13mm

Register 1: Crucifixion; Longinus with spear standing in prayer; Stephaton giving Christ vinegar; Stephaton holding a bucket.
Register 2: Seated Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); Christ standing on the Virgin's left knee; two standing angels holding candlesticks.

Museum's opinion 2012: France, c. 1340-1360.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: pattern in the background.

Reverse
Flat and smooth, with longer edges slightly chamfered.

Object Condition
Upper edge chipped. Worn.Two holes along the left edge. Central hole in the upper and lower part of the panel. Two holes in the centre of the panel (visible from the back).
Missing: part of the Virgin's face. Drapery of the Virgin's cloak damaged.
