Wing, left
Register 1: Annunciation; vase of lilies; dove of the Holy Spirit. Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherds; swaddled child.
Register 2: Three Holy Women at the Tomb, with angel seated on the tomb and three soldiers asleep. Raising of Lazarus; Martha and Mary, his sisters; Lazarus, wrapped in a shroud, emerges from the tomb.
Wing, right
Register 1: Adoration of the Magi with star above the arches. Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Register 2: Harrowing of Hell with Adam and Eve coming out of Hell; souls burning in Hell; demons. Noli me Tangere (Christ appearing to saint Mary Magdalene).
Border of dentils.

Hinges
Three hinges (modern).

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy and gilding (especially the background; mostly modern): gold (hair; architectural details; clothes; wings, etc.), blue (background), red (flames; clothes).

Reverse
Smooth and flat. Longer edges chamfered.
Brown stains. Modern inscription on the back of the left wing: 'anno 112'. Blue and white label with inscription '516' (Bertaux no.).

Object Condition
Broken and repaired around the middle hinge. Cracked around the top hinge. One hole in the thickness of the panel at the top of each wing for suspension.

Provenance
Vaisse collection; acquired by the Museum at his sale, 5 May 1885, lot 7.
