Koechlin Number: 0411

Koechlin 1924: France, 2nd third of the 14th century; mistakenly states this piece is in the collection of the Musée archéologique in Niort.
Schnitzler, Volbach, Bloch 1964: France, c. 1320-1330.
Randall 1993: German (Cologne), 3rd quarter of the 14th century.
Detroit 1997: German, 1325-1350.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Remains of labels.

Object Condition
Missing: candlestick held by the angel on the right.

Collection of Octave Homberg (b. 1876, d. 1941), Paris. Collection of Mme Homberg, Paris (until 1931). Collection of E. and M. Kofler-Truniger, Lucerne (until 1965). Bequest by Laurence H. Favrot to the Museum in 1971.
