Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); two standing angels holding candlesticks; two angels crowning the Virgin; two angels in the spandrels holding navettes and swinging censers.
Wing, right
Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; angels crying; two angels holding the moon and the sun in the spandrels.

Hinges
Two modern hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Longer edges slightly chamfered. Inscription '79'.

Object Condition
A portion of the border has broken away on the right leaf by the lower hinge.

Provenance
Collection of Prince Petr Soltykoff (b. c. 1801, d. 1889): his sale, Paris, Drouot, 8 April 1861, lot 247; purchased by John Webb (b. 1799, d. 1880), London: purchased from him by the Museum in 1867.
