Register 1: crowned Virgin kneeling. Angel holding Instruments of the Passion (nails; spear).
Register 2: Annunciation with angel coming from the right. Visitation.
Register 3: adoring Magi (part of the Adoration of the Magi).
Wing, right
Register 1: saint John the Baptist kneeling or saint John the Evangelist kneeling.
Register 2: Nativity with Virgin holding the swaddled Christ.
Register 3: Simeon (part of the Presentation in the Temple).
Angels swinging censers in the spandrels.

Traces of missing hinges on all panels.

Object Condition
Broken around the hinges.

Comments
The centre part would originally have shown Christ in glory, possibly in a Last Judgement composition in the upper register, and the Virgin and Child in the lower register. The Adoration of the Magi scene was originally completed by the standing Virgin and Child depicted in the centre part of the tabernacle.

Provenance
Acquired before 1886 (mentioned in the 1886-1890 inventory) by the Musei Civici, Perugia; passed into the collection of the Galleria Nazionale before 1919.
