Wing, left
Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); angel crowning the Virgin; two angels holding candlesticks.
Wing, right
Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by on of the Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlooker; angel holding the Sun and Moon; rugged cross.
Medallions enclosing quatrefoils with wild man faces in the spandrels. Border of dentils.

Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges. Trace of a later hinges system with enlarged miters.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Outer edges slightly chamfered. Blue paper with inscription 'M...9 M...Webb [added]'. Incised inscription: 'S.'

Object Condition
Two holes on the inner side of each leaf at top and bottom.

Provenance
In the possession of John Webb (b. 1799, d. 1880), London by 1862: purchased from him by the Museum in 1867.
