Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.
Reverse
Flat and smooth.
Handwritten ink inscription in the lower left corner: ‘M.200.’.
Object Condition
Lower right corner chipped.
The lily once held by the Virgin has broken off; possibly candles also lost from candlesticks held by attendant angels.
Comments
The right wing of this diptych is now in the Wernher Collection in London (EE269).
The candle holders present no traces of holes for candles.
