Hinges
The silver crown dates from the Baroque period (Randall 1993).

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: right forearm of the Virgin, hand and part of the index on her left hand; left hand and two fingers on the right hand of Christ.
Centre of the base has been gnawed by a rodent (Randall 1993).

Provenance
Gift of Mrs Herbert Fleishhacker in 1945.
