Height: 120mm (diameter)

Annunciation with angel coming from the right; kneeling Virgin; vase of lilies; dove of the Holy Spirit; scroll with the inscription 'AVE GRATIA PLENA DO[MINU]S TECUM'.
Crosshatched background.

Malaspina 1823: 16th century.
Maiocchi 1892-1906: 17th century.
Soriga 1939: 15th century.
Museum's opinion 2013: North Italian, 15th century.


Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: red (in the folds of garments), blue (background).

Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
A circular piece of ivory is missing in the centre of the medallion and has been replaced by a circular piece featuring a flower.

Collection of Luigi Malaspina di Sannazzaro (b. 1754, d. 1835): his bequest to the museum in 1835.
