Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist; cruciform halo; sun and moon.
Medallions enclosing quatrefoils with protruding cones in the spandrels. Pinnacles.

Traces of two layers of polychromy.

Reverse
The reverse side is slightly recessed.

Object Condition
Three holes along the right side, possibly to transform the tablet into a diptych at a certain time. Two holes in the centre, in the upper part of the tablet.

Comments
Rounded edges.

Provenance
Purchased for 125 Swiss Francs from Alb. Sattler in Basel in 1887.
