Adoration of the Magi. Coronation of the Virgin; angel crowning the Virgin; blessing gesture; orb and cross.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Williamson and Davies 2014, French (probably Paris), c. 1360-80.

Flat and smooth. Circular white label inscribed '9531 ag/-/-'.

Object Condition
Several holes for fittings (missing). The top and sides of the panel have been cut down.

Comments
This panel probably originally was the side of a casket.

Provenance
Collection of Canon Lewis Gilbertson, Rector of St Martin's Church, Ludgate Hill, London, by 1928: bequeathed to the museum by Mrs Gilbertson (d. 1940), in memory of her husband in 1940.
