Two hinges.

Reverse
Chamfered inner edges. White label containing the inscription: ‘17’. Blue label containing the inscription: ‘Chambers Hall Coll.’. Handwritten ink inscription: ‘1485-1885’.

Object Condition
Worn.
Two small repairs at the top left wing also visible on the back.

Provenance
Chambers Hall (b. 1786, d. 1855); given in 1855 to the University Galleries; transferred to the Department of Antiquities, Ashmolean Museum, on 24 November 1888 (Inv. AN1888.1485); Department of Western Art (WA1855.4); transferred to the Department of Antiquities in May 2008.
