Seated Virgin and Child; bare-chested Christ; Christ standing on the Virgin's left knee; Christ holding a bird in his left hand.

Museum's opinion 2010: English or German (?), 15th century or 19th century.
Tomasi 2012: English (?), beginning of the 15th century.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding (hair, hems) and polychromy: red and blue (clothing).

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Right hand of the Virgin partly broken.
Christ's left arm is a later replacement.

Comments
Known between ca. 1950 and 1987 as Inv. 107.
Crosshatched base with a hole filled with wood.

Provenance
Acquired from the collection of Marcello Galli-Dunn on 16 July 1894.
