Standing angels holding candlesticks.
Centre panel
Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); Virgin holding a flower in her right hand; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand; blessing gesture.

Museum's opinion 2013: Flemish, 14th century.


Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Two ring hinges on either side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy, especially in the spandrels.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.
Blue and white label with inscription: '510 M. Sturne'.

Object Condition
Missing: left part of the gable of the left wing.
One of the hinges is broken. Two holes in the underside to secure it to a base. Worn.

Provenance
Collection of Emile Sturne: his bequest to the Museum in 1923.
