Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); Virgin holding a flower in her right hand; two standing angels holding candlesticks.

Randall 1993: German (?), 1340-1360.


Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth with longer edges chamfered.
Austrian export stamp on the reverse with inscription: 'Zentral[....]t Denkmaschutz.im Bundesmin.f.Unterricht'.

Object Condition
Missing: lower right corner; part of the left hand side candle.
The panel broke in three pieces which have been glued back together.

Collections of Graf Wilzek, Burg Kreutzenstein, Austria. Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Booth Tarkington, Indianapolis (bought from Silberman Galleries, New York in 1934); Gift of Mrs Booth Tarkington in memory of Booth Tarkington, in 1958.
