Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (inscriptions; patterns on the background and on clothes), brown (hair and beards), blue.Inscriptions: 'S[ANCTUS] IOA[N]NES', 'S[ANCTUS] PAULUS', 'S[ANCTUS] NICOLA[US'. Inscription on the scroll: 'ECCE AG[N]US DEI'.
Reverse
Flat with some scoring.
Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of the panel. Another hole in the lower right part.
Lower border chipped.
Provenance
Collection of cardinal Stefano Borgia (d. 1815); part of the collections of the Real Museo Borbonico which, in 1860, became the Museo Nazionale; transferred in 1957 to the Museo di Capodimonte.
