Standing Virgin and Child; Christ seated on left arm; Christ in long robe; Christ holding a fruit in his left hand; blessing gesture; Virgin holding a flower in her right hand.

Unknown

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: blue (Virgin's robe and under the Child).

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: Christ's head, right arm and part of his left arm (from the wrist); right forearm of the Virgin (all replaced).
Small breaks on the edges and bottom of the Virgin's robe.
Four holes in the base (two of which are old).

Provenance
Eugène Giraud collection, Paris (before 1886). Emile Baboin collection, Lyon. Bought in 1959 from Raphael Stora, New York, thanks to a gift presented by Mrs Edsel B. Ford, Grosse Point, in memory of W. R. Valentiner.
