Hooded man riding a billy goat and holding a hammer; dead dog (?); youth on horseback with a hawk on his wrist; dog running; hooded man attacking a youth on horseback; youth falling off his horse; trees; standing king.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Glasgow Museums' opinion 2013: English or French, 14th century.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Missing: corners and possibly right half of the panel.

Comments
The flat surface to the right may indicate the original location of the lock.

Provenance
Probably an early (pre-1911) acquisition by Sir William Burrell; given to the City of Glasgow by Sir William and Constance, Lady Burrell, in 1944.
