Wing, left
Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); two standing angels holding candlesticks.
Wing, right
Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Rounded trefoils in the spandrels.

Randall 1993: German (Cologne), 1340-1360.

Hinges
Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: red (book held by John).

Object Condition
Missing: candles held by the angels.
Central hole in the upper part of each panel. Semicircular cut in the lower border of the right wing. One crack is more severe than others, extending through the depth of the piece for a length of approx. 3 cm, located at the bottom edge of the left panel between the two figures at right. Both panels exhibit a slightly concave bow.
