Register 1: Crucifixion; Longinus kneeling with hands in prayer; Stephaton giving Christ vinegar; Stephaton holding a bucket.
Register 2: Standing Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); Virgin holding a flower in her right hand; two standing angels holding candlesticks.

Serra 1929: French, 2nd half of the 14th century.
Morbidoni 2012: France (Paris ?), 14th century.
Museum's opinion 2013: French, 14th century.

Unknown

Hinges
Traces of two ring (?) hinges on either side.

Reverse
Curved and smooth. Pen inscription: '3709' (former inventory number).

Object Condition
Two central holes in the upper part of the panel. Some dark stains.
Missing: upper part of the gable; Longinus' spear; head of the Christ; one of the two candles held by the angels.

Comments
This panel would originally have been the centre part of a triptych.

Provenance
Collection of Annibale degli Abbati Olivieri Giordani (b. 1708, d. 1789); donated by him in 1756 to the city of Pesaro.
