Wing, left
Register 1: Resurrection of Lazarus.
Register 2: Betrayal (Taking of Christ; Kiss of Judas); Christ restores Malchus' ear, cut by saint Peter.
Wing, right
Register 1: Crucifixion; Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls. 
Register 2: Resurrection; two angels kneeling on the tomb; three soldiers asleep.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels; beaded borders.

Naples 1981: inspired by Ile-de-France diptychs, last quarter of the 14th century.


Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Longer edges chamfered, especially along the inner side.

Object Condition
Cracked along the lower borders.

Comments
The scenes seem to have been copied from a diptych formerly in the Kofler-Truniger collection (S. 99).

Provenance
Collection of Placido de Sangro, Duke of Martina (b. 1829, d. 1891) (collection assembled in the 2nd half of the 19th century): given by his heirs to the city of Naples in 1911; housed at the Villa Floridiana since 1931.
