Register 1: Crucifixion, with jet of blood striking the Virgin's chest; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls. 
Register 2: Last Supper with saint John the Evangelist leaning on Christ's breast; Christ feeding Judas across the table.
Border of dentils.

Koekkoek 1987: 2nd half of the 14th century.
Museum's opinion 2013: France, c. 1350-1400.

Recessed to receive the wax, with a raised border.

Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of the panel.

Provenance
Collection of J. W. Frederiks, on loan to the Rotterdam Museum (in 1987); donated to the Museum in 1994.
